Luiz Claudio Santos Rosa Featured As Guest Speaker at Futurecom 2010

Luiz Claudio Santos Rosa to speak on the growth of Brazil’s telecommunications equipment repair service industry and impact on the country’s growth at Futurecom 2010 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Oct 11, 2010 – VALINHOS, Brazil—Luiz Claudio Santos Rosa, Country Manager for TEL-NT, a subsidiary of Telmar Network Technology, will present The Importance of a Strong Repair Industry in Brazil at Futurecom 2010 on October 26, 2010 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

As Country Manager, Rosa represents TEL-NT’s wide customer base in the Latin American telecommunications market. Prior to joining TEL-NT, Rosa was the first CTO in the Brazilian telecommunications industry and provided consultancy services to JDSU. He has more than 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, and previously served as executive vice president at Option Telecom and vice president of business development at Lucent Technologies Campinas.

“The ABINEE recently announced that in the first half of 2010, the trade balance deficit for the telecommunications industry was 70% higher than that recorded during the same period in 2009. That translated into a deficit of $12 billion through the loss of not producing or repairing components in Brazil,” said Rosa. “When Brazil can provide complex repair solutions of telecommunications equipment, this will generate major currencies for the country and the creation of jobs for repair technicians in Brazil.”

“TEL-NT is fortunate to have a visionary like Luiz Rosa as the head of our Brazilian operations,” said Steve Pickett, president and CEO of TEL-NT. “Not only will his extensive knowledge and experience in Latin America’s telecommunications industry have an impact on the solutions we provide to our wide customer base, but it will also have an impact on the future and growth of Brazil’s telecommunications market.”

TEL-NT provides multi-vendor network-wide repairs for wireline, wireless, enterprise and testing equipment at its state-of-the-art facility in Valinhos, Brazil. It also offers surplus, new and legacy equipment, in addition to spare parts management, reverse logistics, warehousing, asset disposition and consignment services to the Latin American market.

Rosa’s presentation is scheduled for 10:50 – 11:20 AM in the Colombia Conference Room – “B” Pavilion. To learn more about TEL-NT’s multi-vendor repair services, take a virtual tour of its world-class repair lab in Valinhos, Brazil.
