TEL-NT Selected by Tekelec for Telecom Service Support in Brazil and Latin America

TEL-NT selected by Tekelec to provide multi-vendor repair, asset management and logistics services in Brazil at Latin America’s largest test and repair facility.

VALINHOS, Brazil -- TEL-NT, a subsidiary of Telmar Network Technology, announced its strategic relationship with Tekelec to provide multi-vendor repair, asset management and logistics services in Brazil and other Latin American countries.

TEL-NT will manage all repairs of Tekelec’s next-generation network equipment located in Brazil plus other countries at its world-class repair facility in Valinhos, Brazil. In addition, TEL-NT will provide asset management for Tekelec’s high-end signaling gear for its networks in Brazil and other Latin American countries at its Valinhos location.

Brazil is Tekelec’s largest market in Latin America, with customers including Claro, Nextel, Oi and TIM Brasil. Multiple Tier One customers have deployed Tekelec’s session management, mobile messaging, performance management and number portability solutions, and Tekelec’s Camiant Policy Management offering has also been selected by a Tier One operator.

In addition to TEL-NT providing repair services in Brazil and Latin America, Telmar provides repair services for Tekelec out of its Manesar, India test and repair facilities. The facility was the first independent repair company in India to achieve TL9000 certification.
